Throughout my pregnancy, I was hyper-conscious of modifying my workouts to avoid diastasis recti. But simply put, pregnancy is hard on your body. It doesn't care how careful or strong you are.
Recently - two years postpartum -I started experiencing low back pain and hip discomfort that lead me to Ruth Health. After just two sessions with my pelvic floor therapist, who was not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and friendly, I'm well on my way to feeling better.
I had the opportunity to stretch more deeply than I ever have and we got into my (very tight) shoulders - who knew they were related to my pelvic floor? - and also my diaphragm.
